Diana Perez was born and
trained in Puerto Rico. She began her professional career at Ballet Concierto de
Puerto Rico at the age of 12. At fifteen she won the gold medal at the Fourth
International Ballet Competition held in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mrs. Perez danced three seasons with the Eglevsky Ballet in NY as a guest artist. She was also a principal dancer and ballet instructor with Ballet Teatro Municipal de San Juan. She also danced as a principal guest artist in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Nicaragua, Japan and the United States. Her repertoire includes principal roles in contemporary and classical ballets such as: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Grand Pas de Quatre, Paquita, Les Sylphides, Suite of Raymonda, Muñecos, Rito, Amor Brujo, La Gioconda, Grand Pas Classique, Diana and Acteon and Don Quixote Suite among others. Mrs. Perez has danced for Pacific Festival Ballet the last four years and is a Spanish teacher at Scappoose High School. |
