Denise Williams, a California native, earned her BFA in ballet performance from the University of Utah. While on scholarship there, she studied with Bene Arnold, Conrad Ludlow, Carol Anderson, and Li-Chou Chang. She also performed with the Utah Ballet and the Utah Jazz dancers.

For the past 9 years, Ms. Williams has been dancing with the Pacific Festival Ballet. She has performed in such classics such as The Nutcracker (Principle roles: Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Dew Drop Fairy; Soloist roles: Spanish, Waltz, and Snow), Coppelia (Swanilda), Raymonda (Raymonda, Soloist), Pas de Quatre (Grisi), Aurora's Wedding from Sleeping Beauty (Blue Bird), Swan Lake (Pas de Trois), Giselle (soloist), and Paquita (soloist). Ms. Williams has also appeared in many contemporary ballets. She has appeared as a principle and soloist dancer in Armondo Maldonado's ballets Carmina Burana , Firebird, and Unbearable Quandary; in Dennis Spaight's Irish Suites and Gloria Variations, and in Shalene Eve's Paganini's Passion. Ms. Williams has taught jazz and ballet in both Salt Lake City and Portland to all ages of students. As Ballet Mistress for Pacific Festival Ballet, Ms. Williams has set many ballets and continues to choreograph and coach for the company.
